Ranger Families,
This is Marty DuBois, Superintendent for Reading Community Schools. I wanted to make you aware of a ballot proposal you will see in the February 27, 2024 election. I would like to provide everyone with information regarding the proposal so you will be informed prior to voting. The proposal is a millage increase that will restore millage lost due to a reduction in property taxes created by inflation. It’s called the Headlee Amendment (Rollback). Below is a link that helps to explain the origin and how it affects schools. I will be posting more information in the coming days so please be on the lookout.
